The South African Social Security Agency (SASSA) in Mpumalanga is currently traveling to the Fernie 2 Neighborhood Hall in Mpuluzi to render solutions towards the community.

SASSA will be rendering solutions like new social grant applications, change of payment method, client treatment enquiries, in addition to the Social Relief of Distress (SRD) COVID-19 grant enquiries.

In an announcement, the agency mentioned it really is alarmed regarding the substantial quantity of people depending on social grants for survival.
“The intention from the Integrated Registration Outreach Programme [ICROP] is to reach-out to the significant number of clients/beneficiaries to access SASSA services.

“This is as a result of lack of infrastructure at Fernie and there's no totally functional office committed to service the area every day. The assistance stage designed for intervention experiences a large inflow of potential beneficiaries, which makes it sassa hard with the office to attend to all people who pay a visit to a service point.

“In this reach-out programme, SASSA will mobilise extra resources to permit the servicing of all shoppers and increase entry to Social Assistance expert services,” the agency said.
